BUGS, Our #1 issue in the spring is aunts or bugs getting in between the contacts in a pressure switch. This causes the switch to fail and shuts down the pump in the well. To help prevent this, place aunt traps or bug bomb in the well house.

Pest, such as: small rodents, snakes, bees, wasp, or even cats can make your well house their home. Tearing out insulation, making large holes in the structure, chewing on electrical wiring, creating a mess in the well house. Causing a failure to keep your system warm in the winter and preventing electrical flow to the pump system.

03.

Heating your well house to prevent freezing up in below 32 degree temperatures. The best way to prevent busted pipes is a very tight and well insulated well house structure. During extreme cold, place an extra heat source such as: portable heater or heat lamp in the well house to keep pipes warm. WARNING: Do not place heaters to close to walls or PVC pipes or fittings.

04.

To help your well maintenance and repairs make sure your well head and pump system are easy to access. Keep trees, bushes and debris clear of the well system. Do NOT build over the top of a well head, the area needs to be accessible for future repairs to the system.
